We Aren't In Florida Anymore, Toto

So, we are finally back from Florida. We actually returned on Monday night, but I spent yesterday trying to recuperate from the vacation. Needing a vacation from a vacation kind of seems like a lateral move to me, but at least the trip was a blast and well worth it. I'm planning on writing a full trip report, so I will put the details there, but suffice it to say that an amazing time was had by both.

Failing?

So, since I started the blog on New Year's Day, I have posted a whopping...0 entries. Not that I expect people to read it, but morally I feel a bit like a slacker. Lo siento.

Anyhow, not a whole lot has gone on since my last posting. Pretty much just work and then coming home and attempting to relax before going right back to work.

The main thing that happened was that Lauren and I hit our one year mark. We celebrated by driving around to all kinds of bizarre little places and then finally deciding on dinner at Acapulco. Hooray for living on a shoestring budget. It was fun though, and we figured that we were going to be spending enough cash in a few weeks...ie beginning tomorrow, when we go down to Walt Disney World.

Being cast members makes it a bit more affordable, but it is still a sizeable chunk of money when you are paid barely above minimum wage. Really looking forward to it though. She has never been and I have not been in a few years, so we can kind of go into it with "new eyes" which will be exciting. I figure I'll maybe do the trip report thing here upon our return and at the very least post some of the pictures.

Now comes the part where we are trying to pack lightly, but to also remember the important stuff. There is nothing like being 3,000 miles from home and realizing that you forgot pants. No, really. It happened to me during my Senior year of high school when I spent the entire vacation wearing the khaki pants that I traveled in or my bathing suit. I think I also had only 3 shirts or so as well. There was a washing machine available so I didn't smell, but still. It's the principle of the thing. Don't want to repeat that fiasco. 

Post, the first

So, my New Year's resolution was to write a blog this year. I feel it is high time that the world gets to read the incoherent ramblings of my mind and since I currently have no real outlet, thanks internet! Here is where I can talk about anything and everything; sports to entertainment to general information.
